Protest

Sally B. Philips

Vol 6, No. 1 (b) 21 February 2025

FEBRUARY 28

Do you know about the boycott? If not, get the details here.

"The call to action — or rather inaction — is asking that American consumers refrain from making any purchases at major retailers on Friday, February 28. The protest comes as people continue to endure rising prices on everything from food and gas to housing and utilities, epitomized by the soaring cost of eggs which in January averaged $4.95 a dozen. ... Some postings for the event created by online supporters have suggested a targeted boycott of retailers like FordMcDonald's, Meta, Target and Walmart that have ended their DEI* ... official messaging from The People's Union suggests a boycott of all major retailers, with the goal of enacting broader economic change."

* DEI = Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

Hurting the economy by not spending isn’t going to help rising prices of things. Silly Sally. Price increases come bc of shortages and inflation. And some simply by Supply and Demand. What does this actually do? Want egg prices to drop? So does everyone. The primary cause of the recent rise in egg prices is a widespread outbreak of avian influenza (bird flu), which has resulted in large numbers of egg-laying hens being culled on affected farms, significantly reducing the egg supply and driving prices up considerably - So how about find a cure for the bird flu or donate to a cause that can help research such things. That’s something that would actually help- not a joke …

People power. The goons in the White House are demolishing much of the economy by putting 100s of 1000s out of work, gutting protections & policies that have been working for decades, canceling programs and suddenly reversing themselves. Chaos. Criminal chaos.
